Three weeks before we were due to go on camp we had only the normal Leaders Team (Akela, Mrs. Akela and Hathi) and 12 young people who desperately wanted to go on a camp but we were short of a Cooks Team. Akela was seriously thinking of calling the camp off when four angels appeared. "We'll do the Cooks Team" they said, so a really big thank you to Vicky, Carol, Garry and Ian. The camp would not have happened without your help.
The camp was one of our best, the weather was as excepted sunny and dry, thanks again sungod.
We would like to thank all the parents that provided transport, without you it would have been much more difficult and a lot more expensive.
The Cubs provided themselves with nick-names; Scruff, Candyfloss, Gobby, Lofty, Brain, Dodger, Smurf, Shrimp and Spud In real life they were: Zeze, Oliver, Laurence-Elliot, Jess, Emma, Charlotte, Harry, Megan, Dan, Shannon, Matt and Alex. We were joined by the Cooks teams youngsters Gemma and Emily who were keen to do everything.
