District Five a side football
Some Packs take this seriously and others don't, our Cubs do Akela and Hathi don't.
We had six Cubs turn up so at least we had a full team and a reserve. Thanks to Laurence-Elliot, James, Joe, Breiz, Deanna and Shannon for turning up and having a good time.

Akela delegated the role of 'Manager' to Hathi who wandered across to the organiser who was not a happy bunny as a few teams had not turned up and all his carefully drawn up plans were as naught, shame. After a short delay the teams were informed that instead of three groups there would only be two and the top four from each group would go through to the final rounds.
Each game was to be mercifully short and having covered the Cubs in sunblock the Cubs were let loose to practice. Our first two games were not to bad, going down by a goal in each match. Then we drew, won thanks to a hat-trick from or star Laurence-Elliot who actually scored 4. Due to a misunderstanding we ended up playing our last three games on the trot, One we won thanks to a goal from James, a draw and our last game was a crunch game we had to win to go through to the finals and as it was after lunchtime Hathi and Akela were not to disappointed to loose 4-0.
