Workday at the Scout Hall

Sunday 17th November

A very poor turn out for a Group event, but those that turned up had an enjoyable time. Lots of painting, some on the walls, some onto clothes, some onto skin, mostly by accident! The toilets are now newly painted. The gents in white and the cloakroom in green. The ladies in the same colour that Delboy from "Only Fools and Horses" used in his flat. a luminous yellow that really stands out. Lovely!

The young people were encouraged to gather up the wood that was lying around after several trees were pruned. Naturally a fire was lit, this is Scouting after all! With only a little bit of encouragement the fire was soon blazing away.

New doors to the loft space were made up and fitted, there was not enough time or people to try to paint the main hall so that will have to wait. After the earlier tidy-up outside the hall, the weeds, leaves and grass were cleared up in a short time.

From a Wednesday Cubs point of view thanks to Mike and Shaun for turning up and to the few that rang to explain why they could not make it. From a Group point of view thanks to everybody that did turn up, your help was appreciated.
